In this incredible week of cycling, you will live the final stages of 2012’s Giro d’Italia as the fight for the pink jersey will be settled in a series of grueling stages through the Dolomites. We will experience the tour up close, riding up the famous climbs just hours before the racers and parking ourselves at strategic points along the route and at the finish line to catch all the best action. Join renowned Boston chef Josh Ziskin and his wife and Wine Director, Jennifer - owners of La Morra Ristorante - on a delicious bike tour through Umbria in the heart of Italy.  On our tour you will meet the olive oil producers, winemakers and chefs whose passion for quality food have informed Josh’s cooking and are sure to inspire your inner gourmet.  Each day on the bike you will ride with us through vineyards, olive groves and medieval hill towns that time forgot and tourism has hardly touched.  Share an espresso with local villagers in rustic piazzas where smiles are the local currency.

Bicycle along the vine-clad Langhe hills, sample the fresh local white truffles, soothe your body in the healing thermal springs, get bold with a Barbaresco or Barolo, and relax for the night in the converted monastery of San Maurizio. As its name implies, this Italian region called Piedmonte, lies 'at the foot of the mountains'.

A  “heel” in terms of geography but certainly not in character, Puglia’s  pristine coasts are riddled with sea caves and boast endless fields of grain, olive groves, lush vineyards and the restorative thermal springs of Santa Cesarea Terme.

Cypress-lined roads, ancient towns perched atop lush green hills, Etruscan villages, medieval fortresses, and Renaissance masterpieces – this is biking in Tuscany. Brunello, Super Tuscan, Vino Nobile, and Chianti Classico – these are Tuscan wines.

A true “ombra”, this small Italian region emanates incredible beauty and incomparable charm from beneath a cloak of relative obscurity. The Umbrian landscape is blanketed in lush chestnut groves and elm forests, rolling hills dotted with castles and medieval monasteries. The moderate terrain features climbing up to the hill towns of Trevi and Spoleto and riding through the vineyards of Sagrantino grapes.
