Fabrizio Ghilardi is an Italian adventurer who’s life changed completely after a trip to the Argentine Puna (High altitude Andean desert). The lifestyle of Salta tempted him to stay and settle down in its beautiful and quiet valley so, he decided to leave Milan, where he was working as a financial advisor, and “jumped over” to this beautiful place. His wife, Valentina Fiorio is also Italian and she is the manager of their country house -Finca Valentina- and they have two children, Sofia and Alessandro. He knows every corner of Northern Argentina and has climbed some of the highest peaks of the Andes (Pisis, Ojo del Salado, Sajama and Llullaillaco) as well as some climbing in the Alps too! He published two books in Italy, one about travelling in the Puna. His enthusiasm is endless and his latest achievement is the “Argentina Puna Foundation” created to protect the natural resources of the Andes as a legacy for future generations. Besides Italian, he speaks Spanish and English.
