QUESTIONS AND USEFUL INFORMATION for your duvine vacation
Am I fit enough?
Most tours are rated as moderate level trips, some easy some challenging. The average
daily distance is 25-31 miles or about 38-50km. This usually requires
4-5 hours of pedaling per day. We are outside all day, either
on a bike, visiting a wine cellar, or relaxing at a cafe sipping
coffee or a cold beer. We are active. If you enjoy life, and like
to see the world, then you are fit enough for us! Why
should I choose DuVine?
What are the cycling roads like?
Main roads are not in our vocabulary! We spend the day pedaling on vineyard paths, small well-paved village roads and designated
cycling routes. In general, you can expect 2 hills per day. Understand
that what goes up must come down. You will love our roads.
If I am very fit, will this tour be challenging enough
for me?
For very fit riders, there are always extra miles/kilometers and
hills that you can add as an option. There are some longer routes
as well. The guides are always game for an extra 20 mile ride. We
have tons and tons of extra routes and hidden charms.

The weather is great for cycling, with fresh mornings and evenings,
and warm and dry days with an occasional brief shower later in

A passport is required for travel to Europe. A visa in not required

Dust off the old bike in your basement, try a hill or two, do

your French or Italian in case you get lost! (joke).
Buying wine and shipping it back.
Each state/country has it's own laws on how much wine is allowed,
but most airports let you carry 2 bottles per/person. We use a

ask your guides what the best option will be.
