Provence Lavender Bike tour Rating
Challenging Riding
The DuVine Provence bicycle trip is rated Challenging. Most of the cycling is manageable with only one or two hills a day. You will cycle past rustic stone villages perched along ridges overlooking vineyards: Bonnieux, Menerbes, Rousillon and Lacoste. It becomes slightly more challenging after cycling around Fontaine de Vaucluse at the source of the Sorgue river when you continue into the hills of the Plateau de Vaucluse for clear views from afar of the Mt Ventoux, this year’s infamous Tour de France “Hors Category” climb. DuVine van/guides will be there to assist all riders at all times. The riding on our Provence Lavender tour features rolling terrain: passing lavender fields, hilltop villages, olive groves and vineyard. Distances range from 21 to 45 miles with longer options each day.
