| “Trulli Apulia” Day One: Matera - Alberobello Our rendez-vous is in Matera, our guides will meet and drive you through the gorgeous “Pugliese” landscape to Alberobello. Apulia is a land rich in flavours; its products from the country (Apulia has the best olive oil in the world) and the sea, prepared according to the local tradition, make Apulia cuisine one of the best in Italy. Apulia is a fascinating region in south-eastern Italy. It is bordered by the sea on two sides (the Adriatic Sea in the east and the Ionian Sea to the southeast).Endless olive groves are dotted with white villages; long fields of grain and vineyards extend down to splendid costs washed by a crystal clear sea. After toasting your arrival with a traditional Proseco you’ll be guided into a bike fitting, safety talk, and map review. Cycling in the Salento is a fantastic experience; panoramic roads stand out between the blue of the sky and that of the Mediterranen. Visiting the small sea-side towns, sipping an excellent Salice Salentino, watching the seagulls court the fishermen will be an unforgettable experience!

Day Two: Alberobello We cycle among the famous trulli of Alberobello, Locorotondo e Martina Franca. Trulli were generally constructed as dwellings or storehouses and have been for centuries the unmistakable symbol of this countryside. You will find narrow streets limited by short walls, age-old oaks among golden corn fields; it is a journey in a territory where the trullo, thanks to its specificity, has gained the title of Unesco World Heritage. You will taste the famous local wine, the Aleatico, together with the delicious goat cheeses and the incomparable hams and salami of Martina Franca.

Day Three: Alberobello - Santa Maria di Leuca You will start the at the table! The farm of our friend Ugo is situated among the red vineyards around Manduria: you will taste the famous Primitivo together with fresh cheeses, olives and extremely fresh vegetables. Then you will leave the countryside behind and cycle along the coast among the most beautiful sand shores of Apulia. It will be an easy day, in full relaxation you will reach the beautiful Santa Maria di Leuca with its lighthouse situated at the point where the Adriatic and the Ionian seas embrace.

Day Four: Santa Maria di Leuca - Otranto Today’s tour will be along one of the most exiting coast roads in the world with breathtaking views on cliffs and bays. On your bike you will discover fishermen villages, famous thermal waters like Santa Cesarea Terme and spectacular sea caves. After outstanding ride by the coast we’ll get to our hote, Masseria Montelauro, which is located in the hinterland from Salento, 2 kilometers from Otranto and the sea, in the peaceful silence of the countryside. The Farmhouse was built in 1878, and restored with full respect for its original nature, colors and fruits that have always characterized the countryside in the garden that surrounds it.

Day Five: Salento Loop You are in the heart of Salento, a strip of land savage and fragrant, wrapped by the sea breeze, which reminds you of history and legend. Otranto, seaside city with a millenary past is the pearl of this region; you will observe the sunset on the sea, underneath the walls of the mighty castle d’Aragona sipping the typical Salento wine, the Negroamaro.

Day Six: Otranto – Your next destination! After breakfast on the terrace, say goodbye to Salento however you see fit. Challenge yourself with an optional morning loop ride or sip an expresso on Piazza del Popolo and finish your shopping in Otranto. Or we’ll see you off at the train station as you head on to your next destination.
