Flying into/from Madrid-Barajas International Airport
Madrid International Airport is the fourth-largest Airport in Europe, and is located only 12 km (approx. 6 miles) from the city centre. The recently built Terminal 4 designed by world-renowned architects was designed by Antonio Lamela and Richard Rogers. Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are adjacent terminals that are home to Sky Team, Star Alliance and Air Europe. Terminal 4 is home to Iberia Airlines, its franchise Air Nostrum and all OneWorld partner airlines.
How to get from/to Madrid International Airport and the City Center:
By Taxi: Official taxi stands are located outside the ground floor, at the Arrivals, in all Terminals. On starting the journey, make sure should check that the taxi driver has set the meter running. At its end, you may ask for a receipt. Be sure to take a taxi from a stand rather than from unofficial drivers offering taxis inside the terminal. Journey time to central Madrid is 25 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic, which can be heavy. You may refer to this page for more information regarding taxi fees and rates.
By Subway: the airport is connected to the city centre by subway Line 8 Nuevos Ministerios-Airport T4. The subway stops are located at floor -1 on Terminal 4 and on the 1st floor Terminal 2, via the connecting passageway to parking P2. For more information on fares and timetables, please consult the Madrid Underground website; the journey from the airport to the city center is approximately 15 minutes. Remember that it is necessary to pay 2 Euros extra to enter and exit the airport stations (T1, 2, 3 and T4).

By Bus: EMT (Madrid Municipal Transport Company) runs regular public bus services between the airport and Madrid (Avenida de América station): bus 200 stops outside the baggage reclaim area of terminals 1 and 2; while bus 204 stops outside Arrivals at Terminal 4. Several intercity bus services also call at the airport. Flying into/from Barcelona Airport
Barcelona Airport is located 18 kilometers south-west of the city centre of Barcelona, between the city limits of El Prat de Llobregat, Viladecans and Sant Boi. Most of the traffic at Barcelona Airport is domestic and European, in which Spanair and Vueling have an operational base – other intercontinental destinations include: Buenos Aires, Bogota, Montréal, New York, Newark, Atlanta and Tel Aviv. The Airport consists of Terminal 1, Terminal 2A, Terminal 2B and Terminal 2C (for cargo airlines).
How to get from/to Barcelona Airport and the City Center:
By Taxi: In T1, in the arrivals zone (P0) and in the Barcelona-Madrid air corridor; in T2, opposite terminals T2A, T2B and T2C. The ride to the city centre is approximately 20 min depending on traffic – and the cost is between 20 and 30 Euros plus a luggage supplement of 1 Euro per item. By Train:
- Renfe Line 2 suburban train, line 2 Norte Aeropuerto - Sant Celoni. The airport station is situated opposite T2, and is connected to this terminal via an air bridge. There is also a bus service between the Renfe station and T1. The trains run from the airport, from 06:08am to 11:38pm every 30 minutes. Franca Station – Airport –Franca Station daily direct line. The airport station is situated opposite T2, and is connected to this terminal via an air bridge. By Bus:
-City Buses: Line 46 (to Plaza de Espana), L77 (to Sant Joan Despi), PR1 (to El Prat (Renfe Station), N17 (to Plaza de Catalunya (Ronda Universitat). For schedules and fares, please visit Entitat Metropolitana del Transport (in Spanish and Catalan only)

Palma de Mallorca Airport is located 8 km from the city and is the third largest airport in Spain. If you fly in on the day of the tour we recommend you arrive between 10am and noon. We can arrange for your guides to meet you either at the Palma de Mallorca Airport, or at your hotel.
Entry/Exit Requirements
A valid passport is required to enter Spain. U.S., Canadian, Australian, E.U. Citizens are among the ones who may enter Spain for tourist or business purposes for up to 90 days without a Visa. Currency
The Currency of Spain is the Euro (EUR, symbol €). The Euro is subdivided into Cents (1/100 Euro).

Banknotes: €500, €200, €100, €50, €20, €10, €5
Rioja Bicycle Tour
The DuVine Rioja tour starts in Madrid. We recommend arriving in Madrid at least one day pre-tour to relax and enjoy this lively city. Our guides will collect you from your hotel at around mid-morning to transfer you out of the city. You will be driven via Burgos to Abalos, where your first hotel is located and where you will be fitted to your bike.
At the end of the tour you will leave from Pedraza for Segovia and then back to your hotel in Madrid for a mid-afternoon arrival. Camino de Santiago Bike Tour
The DuVine Camino tour begins in Madrid where you guides will pick you up around mid-morning for your hotel. We suggest arriving in Madrid at least one day pre-tour to relax and enjoy this lively city. The tour will end in Santiago de Compostela. We recommend spending one extra night in Santiago and the fly back to Madrid. Airport Santiago is located about 10 km (about 6.2 miles) from the city center. Iberia and low-cost airlines such as Air Europe and Ryanair offer several daily flights to Madrid-Barajas - the flight is approximately 1 hour long. Mallorca Bicycle Tour
The DuVine Mallorca tour starts and finishes in Palma. Guests usually fly into Palma Airport either from Madrid-Barajas or from Barcelona. You can book flights via our Air Consolidator link located on our website under Planning your Trip / Getting There.
If you fly in on the day of the tour we recommend you arrive between 10am and noon. We can arrange for your guides to meet you either at the Palma de Mallorca Airport, or at your hotel. On the last day of the tour you will leave the hotel La Residencia in the early morning, allowing time to catch flights that day. The hotel is approximately 35 minutes from the airport. Later transfers can be arranged as required.

Costa Brava Bicycle Tour
The DuVine Costa Brava bike tour starts in Girona and ends at the Figueres Train Station. We recommend arriving in Barcelona at least one day pre-tour to relax and enjoy this lively city. Our guides will collect you from the Girona Train Station at 10:10AM and drive you northwards to Costa Brava. At the end of the tour you will leave from the Figueres Train Station.
Recommended Trains:
9:00AM – 10:10AM Barcelona to Girona (1 hour and 10 minutes)
12:49PM – 15:09PM Figueras Train Station to Barcelona (2 hours and 20 minutes)
