Deborah Newmark

Deborah was born in Hong Kong and grew up in the UK. With a cordon bleu and wine diploma gained in London, she worked in France and Switzerland; this included a couple of seasons in ski resorts. Her travels then took her Down Under, where she settled in Sydney, Australia, working for Qantas “the flying kangaroo”. Deborah spent a number of years with Qantas Holidays as Fares and Ticketing Supervisor, as Reservations Sales & Sales Support Manager and as a Senior Business Analyst coordinating commercial distribution projects such as third party links and web development; this included a stint in Sri Lanka, during the period when the Tamil Tigers bombed Colombo airport.

Deborah is now living in Boston with her husband, whom she met in Monte Carlo, and family; all avid ice hockey players. Her adventures have ranged from bungee jumping to snorkeling; she loves hiking, reading, meeting new people, and now biking in the DuVine bike, eat drink, sleep style and discovering the delights of New England. Favourite DuVine moments include: dining at Wequassett’s premier restaurant, Twenty-eight Atlantic on Cape Cod; the smells of lavender en Provence; sleeping in style in Chateau Andre Ziltener, Burgundy; Biking “Via Appia” with her brother who lives in Roma; touring the Galapagos Islands DuVine style and enjoying the hospitality of DuVine Brazil staff in Sao Paulo.  Deborah brings a wealth of travel and industry experience to DuVine and is always happy to chat about travel experiences.
