Tour by Day

Day One: Welcome to Mendoza
Your guides will meet you in the lobby of the Park Hyatt. Here we’ll toast to your arrival with a glass of Malbec wine and start with the essentials: bike fitting, safety talk and map review. Snack on some local specialties like empanadas, chimichurri, or provoleta before pedaling off on a leisure ride through the gorgeous Park General San Martín de los Andes-- the central park of Mendoza. Before dinner we’ll get introduced to a local perspective on the wines of Mendoza during a private tasting. Tonight dinner is in town where we'll have a chance to talk with the sommelier about his wine selection and enjoy several regional wines with our meal.

Day Two: Luján de Cuyo Vineyards
Begin the day with a short ride to Catena Zapata. This bodega is widely recognized for its revolutionary owner and wine-maker Nicolás Catena. Here enjoy an exclusive tour and portfolio tasting of wines. Pedal on paved and dirt roads throughout the vineyards of Luján de Cuyo to our next stop, Ruca Malen Cellar. Delight in some incredible refined local dishes accompanied by the domain's epic wine. Following lunch we’ll tour their bodega and get an intimate glimpse into the winemaking process from grape to bottle. From here we’ll ride back to the hotel. This evening we’ll head back into Mendoza for a cooking class on Argentine-inspired cooking techniques.

Day Three: A Hike to Jerome Brewery
This morning begins with a short transfer to the base of the Andes to the small village of Potrerillos. From here we’ll walk 307 miles / 6 kilometers up to the one and only Jerome Brewery where our friend Eduardo, the owner, will host us for a private tasting of his famed local beer. After the visit we’ll transfer over to lunch in Potrerillos. Then, we’ll hop on our bikes for a nice downhill ride to the natural water reservoirs of the Andes Mountains before we transfer back to the hotel. Tonight is your chance to explore the city of Mendoza on your own.

Day Four: Exploring the Valle de Uco
Start the day with a transfer to the neighboring wine region known for producing some of Mendoza’s most famous wines, Valle de Uco. Today we’ll explore the area on bicycle, riding alongside orchards of peaches and plums. On the way we’ll stop at the famed Andeluna cellars for a three-course gastronomic lunch. From here continue riding to our hotel, the Vines of Mendoza. Set amidst the stunning backdrop of the Andean mountain range and overlooking the vineyards of Merlot and Pinot Noir. The Vines is a great base to rest, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. This evening prepare yourself for a meal to remember at Francis Mallmann’s Siete Fuegos.

Day Five: Loop Ride to Salentein Bodega
After breakfast and a short transfer to the Manzano Histórico we’ll begin our bike ride to Salentein's Killka Art Gallery. Enjoy a lunch in the Killka building followed by a visit and grand wine tasting at the impressive Salentein cellar. Situated in the middle of 455 hectares of vineyards below the eastern slopes of the Andes, the Salentein winery is known for classical varietals, old vine preservation, and European production methods that yield world-class wines. Finish the day with a pleasant ride through the vineyards back to our hotel. This evening we’ll regroup for a drink amongst the vineyards before we sit down for our farewell dinner paired with some of Uco Valleys finest wines.
