Tour by Day

Day One: Welcome to Wine Country!
Your guides will meet you at the Argonaut Hotel in San Francisco, and then we’re off across the Golden Gate Bridge to Bodega Bay on the Pacific Coast. We’ll begin with the essentials: bike fitting, map review, and safety talk. Then, set off on a ride into the headlands of the rugged Sonoma Coast. Enjoy stunning views along this completely undeveloped stretch popular among surfers, seals, and whales. Continue riding through the dunes of Doran Beach to our hotel, nestled in the hillside of Bodega Bay. Tonight we’ll enjoy dinner at the hotel’s award-winning restaurant.

Day Two: Inland through the Redwoods
Today we’ll head into the coastal range as we ride into the heart of the redwoods. At the Armstrong Redwoods State Park, we’ll picnic among 1,400-year-old trees that tower over 300 feet high. Choose to continue riding after lunch along the Russian River. We’ll stop for a visit at Hop Kiln winery, which boasts a historic California landmark—one of America's best still-standing kilns, now serving as the impressive tasting room. Then cycle to Rochioli vineyard for a tasting of their new selections before riding into Healdsburg. Tonight you are free to explore the quaint town Healdsburg on your own for dinner.

Day Three: The Dry Creek Valley
This morning you have the option to spend some time in Healdsburg or cycle into the picturesque Dry Creek Valley. We’ll ride through acres of vines with the Mayacamas Mountains in the distance on quiet roads dotted with welcoming vineyards. Stop at Ferrari-Carano winery where you will be enchanted by both the property and the wines. We'll enjoy a delicious lunch possibly with a a stop at Dry Creek General Store, known for amazing gourmet sandwiches and fresh salads. At Quivira Vineyard, an organic winery, we’ll enjoy a tour and tasting. Dinner tonight is at our local favorite, the Michelin-starred Dry Creek Kitchen.

Day Four: The Alexander Valley
Today we’ll explore the wine-growing regions of Alexander Valley, Knights Valley, and Northern Napa. After, visit the Hanna Winery for a tasting amidst sweeping views across the wide Alexander Valley. Choose to cycle over the hill and into Napa or hop in the van. Tonight we’ll head to St. Helena and Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen, where our famed chef, Cindy Pawlcyn, will delight us with her delectable creations.

Day Five: The Silverado Trail
For early risers, we suggest an optional hot air balloon excursion over the Napa Valley. Today we’ll ride along the Silverado Trail on the east side of the Napa Valley. Enjoy stunning views across the valley as we pass some of the best wineries in the area. We’ll stop at Rutherford Hill winery for a tasting and picnic surrounded by amazing views of the Napa valley. Opt to continue riding into the Pope Valley, a world of small, family farms and flower-filled meadows. After, visit the beautiful Château Montelena winery, recently featured in the movie Bottle Shock. We’ll dine tonight in elegance at the Michelin-starred Solbar.

Day Six: Goodbye to Wine Country
Begin with a pre-breakfast loop around Crystal Springs. If you would rather relax, Calistoga is also a great place to wander around the quaint shops and shaded boardwalks along the main street. After breakfast, we’ll transfer you back across the Golden Gate Bridge to the Argonaut Hotel in San Francisco.
