Tour by Day

Day One: Welcome to Switzerland
Your guides will greet you at the Lausanne train station and the adventure begins. We’ll transfer to Epesses, in the heart of the terraced Swiss vineyards, where the fun begins with a light lunch and introductory wine tasting with winemaker Marina Bovard. After our bike-fitting we’ll cycle through the scenic vineyards and learn about the colorful history of the region. Pass through historic Vevey, home of food giant Nestlé. Ride onto Montreux for an historical visit of Chateau Chillon, which sits on an island in the lake. We'll return to our hotel in Montreux for a gourmet meal overlooking Lac Leman.

Day Two: Through the Swiss Alps 
The kids will enjoy a ropes course today followed by a ride along the Upper Rhône to Yvorne and Bex. The adults can join the kids or escape for a ride of their own around the lake. Riding the historic cog-train up the mountain, we’ll all meet in Gryon to take the gondola further uphill. We’ll descend to the hamlet of Taveyanne for an alpine lunch before riding together through the lush alpine forest, passing Barboleuse and Arveyes and arriving in the small alpine village of Villars to enjoy a chocolate tasting. We’ll spend the next two nights in one of the top hotels in town.

Day Three: Hiking to the Alpine Lakes
We’ll take to the hills on foot today, enjoying a gentle hike past summer hamlets and le Col de Soud to the emerald Lac des Chavonnes for a magical lunch. Indulge in local specialties like rösti and the many famous cheese based dishes. After lunch we will hike back to Villars or you can always jump on train if you are tired! Enjoy dinner on your own in town tonight. Your guides have plenty of great suggestions.

Day Four: To Gstaad and the German Side 
Start the day with a quick ride from Villars to les Diablerets. Admire the views of the glacier below from 3,000 meters up in the air. Changing states from the French speaking part of Switzerland to the German one, we’ll arrive at our destination in Gstaad to being our ride. Climbing up to les Diablerets, we’ll reward ourselves with lunch in town before climbing to Le Col du Pillon at the base of the Glacier des Diablerets. From here, the rest of the ride is an exhilarating downhill to reach Gstaad.

Day Five: Rossiniere
Today we’ll discover a whole new side to the Alps when we embark on a rafting trip! Start the day in Gstaad, paddling down the Sarine River and admiring a unique perspective of the mountains. Back on land we’ll warm up with a luscious hot chocolate before transferring to our friend and local cheese maker Pipo’s Alpine farm for lunch. Learn about the production of the traditional l’Etivaz cheese and enjoy a generous tasting. We’ll jump back on our bikes and cruise back to Gstaad. Tonight’s pièce de résistance, a decadent cheese fondue.

Day Six: Goodbye to Switzerland 
After breakfast and a final Alpine bike ride or hike around the village, your guides will see you off at the Interlaken Train Station in Gstaad.
