A weeklong self-supported bike tour up the Northern California coast piqued Emily’s curiosity for two-wheeled adventures. A lifelong traveler, she has explored many national parks, and a few European cities, on two feet. A native Californian, she ventured out to the East Coast to attend Brown University, where she studied economics and played water polo. She spent a semester abroad in Barcelona, where she took classes in Spanish and Catalan and developed a passion for off-the-beaten path travel.

The last few summers, Emily has worked as a summer guide leading backpacking and language trips for high schoolers around the world. Through guiding, she has bagged New England peaks, explored Barcelona and the Costa Brava, and backpacked through the Spanish Pyrenees and the Tirolean Alps. In addition to guiding trips, she has worked at an outdoor camping startup in San Francisco and at a sports nonprofit, coaching and developing youth lacrosse programs. Emily is passionate about finding ways to get people outside; she is so excited to get behind the scenes at DuVine and help others find their trip of a lifetime!
