Cycling became a part of Melissa’s modus operandi from a young age. First, as a way to navigate the long daily school route, and later (after having to give up horse riding) as a way to discover trails with a mountain bike.

Born in New Zealand but with family in France, Melissa has spent much of her adult life between countries. This duality has reflected within her professional background, with an active career in law and a catering business co-founded with a French chef trained in Michelin-starred restaurants. A keen tennis player and hiker, with a love for wild swimming and great food, Melissa has discovered many beautiful rivers and eating spots hidden away on France’s lesser-traveled roads. Taking time out from “the daily grind” to explore and share special moments is important for her and what better means to do so than with a bike? She feels very fortunate to be a part of creating unforgettable experiences for guests of DuVine.
