Itinerary
Print Itinerary- Day 1
Welcome to the Colorado Rocky Mountains
In the late morning or early afternoon, meet your guides at the Aspen airport and head out into a winter wonderland. We’ll get fitted on backcountry skis and take a warmup outing through the plentiful powder, making sure that everything feels right for tomorrow’s big adventure. On our first evening in Aspen, dive head first into the après ski scene followed by dinner at our favorite local restaurant.

Into the Backcountry
Fuel up with Hotel Jerome’s incredible breakfast, then say goodbye to civilization as we set off into the backcountry. Ski through pine forests, alpine meadows, and dramatic bowls en route to our mountain refuge for the next two nights. After a hearty lunch, Chris will lead us to some of his favorite secret slopes—the fresh powder runs really are a treat after the workout of skinning up. In the late afternoon, we’ll ski back to the hut, catch a sunset over the Rockies, and savor a well-earned Alpine dinner.

Champagne Powder
On the mountain, our days begin with hot coffee, 360-degree vistas, and the smell of snow-dusted spruce. The best part? No lifts, no lines, and no crowds: it’s pure powder straight out the door. Today Chris takes us up into the bowls for an epic day and doles out tips for improving technique and style (with plenty of opportunity to test them out on climbs and descents alike). Enjoy the best view of the day over lunch. Whether your legs or the daylight quits first, we’ll regroup for dinner at the hut. Relish our last remote evening totally relaxed and unplugged, sharing beers or a bottle of wine with friends.

Back to Aspen
On our last morning at the cozy cabin, we’ll have a camp-style breakfast, strap on our skis, and head back towards Aspen. Of course, there’s no rush to get back to civilization—Chris will head up whatever route includes the best runs for the day’s conditions. Skin up the high ridges to catch some panoramic views or test your newfound skills on more challenging pitches. We can relive all the day’s feats over a cold beer back in town, followed by a final dinner at Chris’s favorite local hangout.

Chris Davenport’s Aspen
Today we’ll trade out our backcountry equipment in favor of downhill skis for an insider’s tour of Aspen Snowmass, and no one knows the off-piste terrain better than Chris. With an incredible variety, you’ll get the best runs on perfect powder, plus coaching from one of the world’s leading big mountain skiers. But the intel doesn’t stop on the slopes—these insiders also know the very best locale for lunch. At day’s end, say goodbye to Dav and catch a flight home, or stay a few extra nights in the Rockies if you’ve fallen under Aspen’s spell.
