ABOUT PRESIDENT & FOUNDER ANDY LEVINE

Andy Levine is a true bon vivant with a real passion for adventure. Andy has led and created deluxe bike trips in Europe for over 12 years. He headed to France the day after graduating from the University of Denver in 1992 to hit the open road with his bike and a passion for the good life.

After leading bike trips in France, Switzerland, and Italy, Andy decided that he could create a upscale bike trip without boundaries: a fun combination of biking, drinking, eating, sleeping…and of course a little sweat.

Andy was drawn to the European culture, art, cuisine, wine and pace of life.  After two years of biking all over France seeking the finest wineries and chateaux, and working two winters in St. Moritz, Switzerland, Andy knew he wanted to launch his own specialized vacations – taking bike touring to the next level, by adding experiences that would increase each client’s knowledge, enjoyment, and awareness of the beauty in life. 

“Europe has everything…perfect biking roads, charming hotels, great restaurants…it’s a bikers paradise. You can spend all day winding through vineyards and the most picturesque villages, learning about the culture and lifestyle, and opening your mind to new things.” Andy says, “there is nothing like exercising your body and exercising your intellect at the same time.”

And so DuVine Adventures was created in Andy’s kitchen with a web site, a glass of wine, and a passion for adventure. His first trip had just two people from Bloomfield Hills, Mi. which he led through Burgundy, France. After that the phones never stopped ringing. Over eleven years later, with multiple trips, guides, and locations, Andy’s dream has become a very successful reality.

With each DuVine trip, Andy and his guides mission is to “knock the socks off of the meaning of vacation”, and to help each guest bring a little of the spirit of vacation back in to every day life. “The mission has been and always will be to blow our clients away, give the unexpected, and exceed every expectation” says Andy with total conviction.  "You only live once!"

Andy lives for surprises, the spontaneity of life, and bringing smiles and laughs to everyone. In his 37 years, there is nothing that he loves more than watching faces open up with joy at a new experience or adventure. His true passion is to raise people to a new level of life.

“Andy’s enthusiasm is contagious!” says DuVine guide Katie Mascaro “He brings a childlike delight and wonder to every experience, and lifts the mood of everyone around him.”  Andy does not like to hear from his guides that the trip is simply going fine, he expects to hear that "everyone is loving it!."  Andy believes in living life in the front seat, with his eyes open to each new possibility. He wants to provide every client with an experience that is entirely fresh, enriching, and inspiring. “Every client is the most important client” he explains with devotion, “ I have too much pride to let anyone down.”

“To me, the travel business is the entertainment business. The open road is a theater, the DuVine Adventures trip is a 6 day show with several acts that incorporate a bit of a love story, a drama, lots of good healthy excitement, and hopefully always a happy ending!” Andy’s primary goal is to look after his guests and make sure they have fun. When they leave, their spirits are lifted. “I got into this business because I enjoy seeing people loving life” Andy says “and that will never change, it will only increase.”
