David Cornwell

A photojournalist and teacher, David’s greatest pleasure as a DuVine guide is “unlocking” the Italian way of being with his guests, whether by way of intimate encounters with winemaking friends, sharing secrets of olive oil production, or providing insights into the Italian character through his own experiences as an American living in his adopted land. Twelve years ago, David and his wife spent a sabbatical year in Assisi, and fell in love with the Italian countryside, its culture, and its people. They bought and restored two farmhouses, one in Piedmont and the other, a small stone farmhouse overlooking the Mediterranean in Liguria where they now live. When David is not leading tours for DuVine, he can be found cycling through the Maritime Alps, tending his olive trees, and playing catch with his two lively dogs among the stone-walled terraces surrounding his home. This will be David's fourth full year leading with DuVine, and he is DuVine’s European Guide Manager.
