All About DuVine Andy Levine is a true bon vivant with a real passion for adventure. Andy has led and created deluxe bike trips in Europe for over 14 years. He headed to France the day after graduating from the University of Denver in 1992 to hit the open road with his bike and a passion for the good life.
After leading bike trips in France, Switzerland, and Italy, Andy decided that he could create a upscale bike trip without boundaries: a fun combination of biking, drinking, eating, sleeping…and of course a little sweat.
Andy was drawn to the European culture, art, cuisine, wine and pace of life. After two years of biking all over France seeking the finest wineries and chateaux, and working two winters in St. Moritz, Switzerland, Andy knew he wanted to launch his own specialized vacations – taking bike touring to the next level, by adding experiences that would increase each client’s knowledge, enjoyment, and awareness of the beauty in life.
“Europe has everything…perfect biking roads, charming hotels, great restaurants…it’s a bikers paradise. You can spend all day winding through vineyards and the most picturesque villages, learning about the culture and lifestyle, and opening your mind to new things.” Andy says, “there is nothing like exercising your body and exercising your intellect at the same time.”
And so DuVine Adventures was created in Andy’s kitchen with a web site, a glass of wine, and a passion for adventure. His first trip had just two people from Bloomfield Hills, Mi. which he led through Burgundy, France. After that the phones never stopped ringing. Over eleven years later, with multiple trips, guides, and locations, Andy’s dream has become a very successful reality.
With each DuVine trip, Andy and his guides mission is to “knock the socks off of the meaning of vacation”, and to help each guest bring a little of the spirit of vacation back in to every day life. “The mission has been and always will be to blow our clients away, give the unexpected, and exceed every expectation” says Andy with total conviction. "You only live once!"
Andy lives for surprises, the spontaneity of life, and bringing smiles and laughs to everyone. In his 37 years, there is nothing that he loves more than watching faces open up with joy at a new experience or adventure. His true passion is to raise people to a new level of life.
As DuVine enters it’s 14th year of exceeding expectations, the company is experiencing record growth. Guest counts were up over 71% in 2007 and 2008 sales are up 27% over 2007. Repeat guest ratio of over 25% each season DuVine guests rapidly become friends and like all good friends, everyone looks forward to meeting again. Loyal DuVine travelers are rewarded in a number of ways. The DuVine Adventures Loyalty Club members tour for free when they organize 15 friends, family, and/or colleagues to join them.
Refer a friend and receive $100 to apply to a future trip. Frequent travelers receive more and more benefits with each tour, beginning with a DuVine Adventures Loyalty Club Member Shirt, VIP Recognition, and three percent of the trip’s value for a future DuVine Adventure on the second tour.
