Iván’s love for cycling began at a young age in Uruguay, inspired by his grandfather and father who shared their passion for the sport. His adventurous spirit also led him to kite surfing, an adventure he pursues along Uruguay’s coast whenever he can.

Before joining DuVine, Iván worked in hospitality and tourism in both Uruguay and in the Middle East, leading small-group trips that showcased local food, wine, and culture. As a DuVine guide, he enjoys connecting guests to the quiet backroads, local estancias, and hidden wineries that make Uruguay special. He is passionate about sharing stories of the land — from the first cattle brought by Hernandarias in 1611 to the Tannat vineyards of today. For Iván, the best part of guiding is watching guests relax into the ride, discover a new favorite wine, and leave feeling like they truly experienced the country.
