Charles grew up at the north end of Lake Winnipesaukee in the lakes region of New Hampshire. An avid hiker, he’s completed all 48 of New Hampshire’s 4000-footer list, as well as the Long Trail, which follows the Green Mountain range from Massachusetts to the Canadian border. After finishing college at the University of New Hampshire Charles worked at a variety of music venues, bike shops, and an outdoor design company. He enjoys all sorts of riding near and far. Cycling trips have brought him to famous climbs like Gibraltar in Santa Barbara, up Mt. Lemmon in Tucson, and bike packing in Nova Scotia. He loves road biking, mountain biking, and taking a cyclocross bike in areas where they shouldn’t be.
