While working in Boston for restaurateur Barbara Lynch, Matt developed a passion for Burgundy wine, leading him to work his first harvest in 2001. The rest, as they say, is history. An internationally-recognized artist, exceptional cook, and renovator of a French Revolution-era stone house, Matt has been living in and around Beaune since 2004. With his upscale service industry background, extensive wine, food, and art knowledge, and years logged in local wineries and vineyards, Matt is made to be a guide. He’s someone who knows how to explain malolactic fermentation offhandedly or show you hidden secrets at the Beaune cathedral, all while grinning like a little kid. Matt’s wife Megan is also deeply rooted in the world of wine and together they are raising two bilingual children.
