Pedro Carvalho

Pedro is a true “Alfacinha,” the name given to people born in Lisbon. Born and raised in the Lisbon area, he loves sharing all the little secrets of Portugal while guiding tours in this country he knows so well. Growing up a passionate cyclist, he was one of the first serious mountain bikers in Portugal and has combined his guiding career with his writing skills. Pedro founded the first-ever mountain biking magazine in Portugal, back in 1994, and recently launched yet another magazine totally dedicated to the passion of bicycling. He truly believes that Portugal is a unique destination in Europe, a country of friendly and warm people where you can find excellent local wines and great food. Guiding for him is sharing, and making sure everyone goes home with unforgettable memories of Portugal.
