Pete grew up constantly moving around, both in the UK and overseas, and never quite grew out of this habit until recently, where he’s since landed in his ancestral home of the Scottish Highlands. Always drawn to the outdoors and adventure (and never far from a bike…) he studied Outdoor Studies at university in the Lake District. After graduation, he soon qualified as a Mountain Bike Leader and landed a dream permanent guiding job in Andalusia, Spain. It was while living here that, alongside his now wife Alice, they hatched a plan for the longest cycling honeymoon ever…2 years, 22,000kms, and 20 countries. On this grand adventure, they ended up in New Zealand with not much money and more than their fair share of cycling adventure stories!

Since then, Pete has continued his career as a guide and mechanic, he loves facilitating and inspiring clients of all levels, he has led expeditions all over the world, organized cycling events, built bikes for refugees, and has become a successful self-supported bike-packing racer. His racing portfolio has brought him to the pointy end of some of the hardest off-road ultra-endurance races on the planet (including the infamous Highland Trail 550 and the Silk Road Mountain Race in Kyrgyzstan). Now with two budding adventure-toddlers in tow and a couple of dogs, Pete and Alice have settled into their new Highland home. Pete loves nothing more than inspiring others and exploring the wealth of world-class cycling adventures right on his doorstep.
