Tatum credits her passion for travel and writing to a homework assignment from elementary school. Growing up in a family of active travel enthusiasts, it seemed as if Tatum spent more time on a plane than in a classroom. So, every trip had to be documented. It didn’t take long for this assignment to feel less like a task and more like a hobby! Coming from a small, generational seafood business, Tatum appreciates making connections with others and the positive impact cultural immersion can have on a community.

From Massachusetts to Rhode Island, Tatum followed her dreams by attending Johnson & Wales University to study Tourism and Hospitality Management and Professional Communications. The highlight of her college career was studying abroad in Greece or blogging about her FAM trip to Brazil and Argentina.

When she’s not traveling or writing, Tatum can be found in the gym; at the spa with her mom; competing in a triathlon with her dad; snowboarding or playing soccer with her brothers; attending a Boston sports game or country concert with her boyfriend; scoping out new cafés with her friends; on a mission trip with her church; or hiking with her dogs!
