Terms + Conditions

These terms and conditions are valid for all DuVine tours, and are subject to change. The most current terms and conditions at the time of your departure will apply.


To reserve a trip, we require a deposit of $750 per person (including a $200 non-refundable cancellation fee) for our scheduled tour dates and a non-refundable $1,000 per person deposit for our private tours. Travel Credits cannot be used towards payment of the deposit.

Final Payment

Once the deposit has been received, we will send a final invoice. The outstanding balance of the trip is due 90 days prior to the departure date. This balance will automatically be charged to your credit card unless other arrangements have been made. For reservations made within 90 days of the tour’s departure, final payment is due at time of booking.

Payment Methods

Payment must be in U.S. dollars, and can be made by debit or credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discover), personal check, or wire. We do not accept cash. A 7% fee will be added to the reservation if you choose to refund a payment and recharge a different credit card.

Prices on DuVine’s website are displayed in USD per person, are based on double occupancy, and include taxes. Travelers who wish to have their own room will be charged a single supplement. This supplement varies depending on the tour and can be found on each individual tour page on our website.

A given price quote is valid for 10 days and is then subject to repricing. All prices and quotes are subject to verification by a DuVine staff member.

There is no price reduction offered for arriving late or departing early from a tour.

Reservation + Release Forms

After sending in your deposit you will receive a Reservation Form. This form must be signed and returned to DuVine within 10 days of receipt in order to finalize your trip. This form enables us to secure your bicycle, note dietary restrictions and recognize any special requests you may have. Additionally, you will receive a Release of Liability form that also needs to be signed and returned to DuVine. Guests who fail to provide a signed Release of Liability form prior to departure will not be allowed to join the trip and standard cancellation policy will apply.

Additionally, DuVine reserves the right to decline or cancel a reservation should the individual’s health or behavior impede the welfare or enjoyment of fellow guests.

The cancellation policies outlined below take into consideration the costs DuVine incurs long before travelers ever depart. DuVine strictly adheres to the following cancellation policies. Trip price is defined as everything purchased from DuVine as part of your tour, including upgrades and single supplement.

A 7% processing fee will be charged in conjunction with all refunds.

If canceling outside of 61 days prior to departure, the cancellation fee can be applied towards a future DuVine reservation as a Travel Credit. This Travel Credit is non-transferrable, non-refundable and only valid for travel within one year of cancellation. Once a Travel Credit has been applied to a trip it is considered non-refundable.

Changes for Scheduled Tour Dates Initiated By Guest

Requests to change tour or date for an existing reservation will be accommodated based on availability.  If this request is made inside of 61 days prior to departure a minimum $250 late change fee will be applied. The guest will also be responsible for any additional cancellation fees occurred from hotels etc. Additionally, the traveler must pay any increase in tour price and will not be refunded if the new tour price is less than the original tour. Only one date change per reservation is allowed.

Changes for Private Tours Initiated By Guest

Requested changes to private tours will be handled on a case-by-case basis. When able to accommodate changes a minimum $250 per person change fee will be applied. The guest will also be responsible for any additional cancellation fees incurred from hotels, etc. Additionally, the guests must also pay any increases in tour price caused by the change. Only one date change per reservation is allowed.

DuVine Itinerary Changes + Cancellations

DuVine reserves the right to make date, route, activity and hotel modifications. This includes the details of itineraries listed on the website. Every effort is made to keep changes to a minimum.

DuVine retains the right to cancel, modify or delay the tour as a result of unforeseeable events that are beyond DuVine’s reasonable control, including but not limited to, acts of God, war (whether declared or undeclared), terrorist activities or threats of terrorists activities, instability in a destination country, incidents of violence, public health issues or quarantine or threats of public health issues, substantial currency fluctuations, strikes, government restrictions, fire or severe weather conditions, or any other reason that makes it impossible or commercially unreasonable in the sole opinion of DuVine to conduct the tour as originally contracted. If DuVine cancels the tour for any such reason, travelers will receive a DuVine future travel credit for all monies paid, less the $200 non-refundable deposit and any additional non-refundable fees.

DuVine reserves the right to cancel any trip at our discretion should the safety of our travelers or staff be compromised.

DuVine is not responsible for any personal expenses incurred due to changes in itineraries or tour cancellations, such as prepaid hotel accommodations or airline tickets. We strongly recommend confirming your trip with DuVine before making any additional travel arrangements.

DuVine Concierge Travel Service

For assistance with booking of pre- and post-travel including hotels, flights, train tickets, transfers, car rentals, and city tours, guests may purchase a non-refundable Concierge Travel Service package for $200. Please see our At Your Service page for details. If traveling on a private tour, this service is included in your tour price.

For assistance with booking flights only, travelers should work with our recommended partner Largay Travel. Flights booked through Largay Travel are subject to their Terms + Conditions as outlined on their website. A service fee will be applied by Largay Travel.

Our Tour Coordinators at DuVine take special care to recommend the best external travel organizations and properties to our guests. However, DuVine does not guarantee these services and is not liable for issues or cancellations that may arise.

Children On Tour

Children under the age of 17 are encouraged to participate in a Family or Private Tour. If traveling on a scheduled tour date, children under the age of 17 are only allowed on Level 1 tours. We are happy to work with you and your family to select the date and destination that will meet your specific needs.

Travel Documents

Each guest must obtain a passport and any applicable visas for his or her tour prior to departure. If a guest is unable to obtain these travel documents, our standard cancellation policy will apply. Be sure that passports are valid for at least six months after the tour ends. Non-U.S. citizens will need to contact the embassy or consulate of their destination countries to ensure they meet specific entry requirements. Traveler Code

By submitting your deposit and completing your Reservation Form, you agree to the following Traveler Code:

  • I have chosen a trip that suits my abilities, level of fitness, and state of health.
  • I do not have any physical conditions or disabilities that are a hazard to me or other travelers.
  • I have a valid passport and all visas, permits, certificates, and vaccinations required for travel.
  • I will read pre-trip materials about clothing, medical requirements, and culture-specific etiquette.
  • I will make sure to communicate any special requests at least 30 days prior to travel. This includes dietary restrictions, medical requirements and room preferences. I also understand that DuVine will do all it can to accommodate special requests but cannot guarantee they will be possible.
  • I will respect the laws and customs of countries visited.
  • I will follow environmental guidelines and regulations while on the trip in accordance with guide direction.
  • I will respect the rights and privacy of other trip members.
  • I understand that travel within a group invariably involves compromise to accommodate diverse desires, travel goals, personalities, and physical abilities of all group members. DuVine guides may be required to improvise and exercise good faith, use discretion and/or make decisions based upon group consensus. These decisions may not always please each individual, but are intended to satisfy the larger desires of the group.
  • I understand that DuVine reserves the right to refuse service during a tour to anyone whose health or behavior could impede the welfare or enjoyment of fellow guests. An individual may be asked to leave a trip if the leader feels that the person’s continuing participation may prove detrimental to the individual or the group.
  • I understand a road less traveled means that access to medical facilities and evacuation services may be limited.
  • I understand the weather is out of DuVine’s control.
  • I will always wear a helmet when riding.
  • I will not wear headphones when riding and I will drink alcohol responsibly.

If you do not conform to these regulations you risk dismissal from the tour, returning home at your expense with no refund for the missed tour portion.

Travel Insurance

DuVine offers a comprehensive travel insurance policy–the Worldwide Trip Protector Plan–that will protect you from the unforeseen. To enroll in the offered insurance plan, complete the Reservation Form sent to you upon booking or contact your Tour Coordinator. An $8 fee per policy (not per person) will be debited by Travel Insurance when the purchase is processed.

Travel insurance is non-refundable, but it is strongly advised to protect you in the unfortunate event that you have to cancel or leave your trip.

Limitations of Liability

All terms are outlined in your signed release of liability. DuVine is not liable for bodily injury or property damage as a result of (but not limited to): physical exertion for which a guest is not prepared; forces of nature; collisions with bicycles, pedestrians or automobilies, road conditions including or not limited to lack of shoulder and roadway surfaces affected by weather conditions; travel by plane, train, auto, boat, or other conveyance, or by bicycle, ski, horseback, foot, or other form of active or adventure travel; consumption of alcoholic beverages; civil unrest; terrorism; breakdown of equipment; high altitude; lack of or limited access to medical attention in remote locations; and the adequacy of medical attention once provided.

DuVine is also not liable for: expenses (e.g., meals, transportation, or hotel costs) that are not specified as included in the trip cost but may be required to get to or from a trip start or end. DuVine reserves the right to make route and hotel modifications as necessary to improve the quality of a trip or to accommodate the comfort and well-being of guests.

Guests grant DuVine permission to take photographs or film records of its trips for promotional and commercial use, without remuneration. The guest agrees to assign all right, title and interest they may have in or to any media in which their name or likeness might be used to DuVine. Also guests agree that DuVine may use any testimonials regarding services rendered for promotional and/or commercial purposes without any remuneration. DuVine photography within this website is copyrighted by DuVine and may not be reproduced without permission.

DuVine recognizes that some travelers may have severe food allergies. We will do our best to ensure that our suppliers are informed of the situation but we cannot guarantee that all requests will be accommodated.
