Daily Yoga with Julie Rader
Begin each day with energizing yoga to prepare the mind and body for fun-filled days of biking and touring the beautiful vineyards. Stretches and exercises are designed to enhance the biking experience. The yoga sessions will also involve meditation and breathing exercises to ignite the spirit. We'll ease into our evenings with a gentle and meditative yoga sessions.

Style of Yoga
You'll enjoy invigorating classes that will uplift your soul and strengthen your body. The lessons are designed for people of all levels and experience. The yoga sessions will vary, we will combine flowing movement sequences (vinyasa) with slow sustained stretches to enhance the biking experience. Additionally, much emphasis is placed on breath work and mind/body awareness. Classes will vary, we will start the day with an energizing session and end the evening with a gentle meditative practice that involves stretching and relaxation. All our yoga teachers are amazing people. They treat our our guests with importance and genuine interest, we anticipate your every need and attend to every detail while being thorough and professional. Our yoga teachers are all seasoned travelers.

DuVine Yoga Instructor: Julie Rader
Julie Rader first discovered meditation as a teenager as a tool to enhance her gymnastics performances. She continued to study the power of the mind body connection through college and graduate school. The intellectual learning transferred to experiential learning by using mental imagery and yoga to earn her All-American recognition as a springboard diver. Julie uses yoga, visualization and yoga nidra to help professional athletes reach their highest potential. She works with professional volleyball players, soccer players, basketball players, and snowboarders.

Julie has owned two yoga studios. The first was a partnership and the second, Mukti, was a sole ownership. After four years of yoga studio management, Julie decided to turn her focus back to teaching. Julie now manages Mukti Yoga teacher training school. Mukti Yoga teacher training school is made up of 50-hour, 100-hour, and 150-hour modules. The modules allow trainees to customize the teacher training experience based on the path they would like their teaching career to take. Mukti Yoga senior teachers lead the foundation modules and Julie leads the graduate module as well as most of the 50-hour modules. Mukti Yoga encourages students to have their feet rooted on the ground and their head dreaming in the clouds.

Am I fit enough for the biking and yoga?

The bike tour is rated as intermediate-easy level trip. The average daily biking distance is 23miles or about 35-45km. This usually requires 3-5 hours of pedaling per day. The yoga is designed all levels of experience. Remember, yoga is non-competitive, so you go at your own pace.
