Alexis was born and raised in Ireland. After graduating, he found himself harvesting grapes on the chalky slopes of Chablis in Burgundy. The experience proved to be a revelation: realizing that he had to find a way to sustain a new lifestyle, he studied winemaking in Burgundy and went on to spend the next 12 years working in the French wine industry before moving with his family to Andalucía where he began working in tourism.

Alex loves life on the road and believes that cruising on a bike is the greatest way to see a new country up close and experience a new culture; slow down, see more. Genuinely interested in people, he enjoys the quirky side of life, and is always eager to share his love of gourmet food and fine wines with a willing audience. Alex lives with his wife and two children in the south of Spain.
