Born close to Paris in 1994, Charles moved frequently through France—from the Pyrenees on the Spanish border to Réunion Island in the Indian Ocean, where he ended up studying architecture. He then went to live in Istanbul, Bordeaux, Amsterdam, and finally got his diploma in Brussels, Belgium, where he worked for five years as a designer.
During his studies an while working as a courier, Charles got into biking, repairing, and selling old bikes. His love for cycling led him to do several bike-packing trips around Europe.
