  • Day 1

    Welcome to Salta!

    Your guides will meet you in Salta, then we’re off to Finca Valentina for a short lunch, bike fitting and safety talk. A transfer will take us into the semi-deserted Calchaquí Valley. From here we will cycle into the Quebrada de las Conchas canyon on an amazing bike ride through surreal landscape. Climb up to la Yesera Pass, the most colorful spot in the area, and enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding gorge. Later we’ll continue to Cafayate and spend the evening at the luxurious Grace Cafayate Hotel & Spa.

  • Day 2

    The Vineyards of Cafayate

    Get ready for a full day of wine and adventure! In the morning begin with a bike ride through Cafayate. Enjoy visits to several local wineries along the way. Enjoy a private lunch in the exclusive winery “El Porvenir,” then take a scenic drive through Quebrada de las Flechas. Pass through the little village of Angastaco and travel up the winding road to Molinos. Tonight we enjoy an intimate dinner of local specialties at Hacienda de Molinos.

  • Day 3

    A Visit to Finca Tacuil

    Begin the day with a brief downhill ride before we climb up to Tacuil, a delightful little winery that was conserved by the Dávalos family to produce the unique family wines. Our hosts, the Dávalos, will treat us to lunch at the winery and a private tasting of wines from their vineyards. Next we’ll drive to Estancia Colomé winery and estate, the oldest of South America. Enjoy a private visit to the facilities followed by a wine tasting. At sunset we’ll live the thrilling sensory experience of the James Turrell Museum. Return to Molinos for a delicious dinner at our hotel.

  • Day 4

    Molinos, Cuevas de Acsibi, and Cachi

    Today we’re off to the little town of Seclantás in the heart of the Valley. We’ll make a stop at the Plaza and the historical church before we travel to Valle de las Cuevas with our local guide and begin a four-hour hike though spectacular red rocks, stopping for a picnic along the way. During the hike, we’ll learn all about the history of the area and the inhabitants of the valley before the Inca occupation. After the hike we’ll drive to our Hotel, La Merced del Alto, situated just under the stunning peak of Nevado de Cachi. Tonight’s dinner at the hotel is sure to be outstanding.

  • Day 5

    Climbing Through the Parque Nacional Los Cardones

    Today we’ll visit the Camino de los Artesanos, a narrow mountain road featuring some of the most important handcraft-makers of the Northwest. In this land of criollos and gauchos, the traditional culture and ancient weaving techniques are still preserved. Enjoy an amazing mountain ride through the red desert of Los Cardones National Park, known for its famous species of giant cactus. Our friends, the Ruiz Moreno Family, will treat us to a homemade lunch of authentic local dishes at their finca, Casa de Campo La Paya. Tonight we’ll return to Cachi for another relaxing dinner featuring regional specialties.

  • Day 6

    Return to Salta via Cuesta del Obispo

    Today we’ll head back to Salta through Cuesta del Obispo. Touch the clouds as we reach the highest Andean pass of our trip—3348 meters above sea level at Piedra del Molino. Travel downhill along a mountain road for 33 kilometers before reaching the green fields of the Lerma Valley. Enjoy scenic views of the tobacco plantations in the rural towns that surround the city of Salta. In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at Finca Valentina. Delight in the stunning views of the surrounding Andes as we celebrate the evening with a special goodbye dinner.

  • Day 7

    Salta City Walk

    Before your departure today, you’ll be treated to a walking tour of the city of Salta, including a visit to the MAAM (Museum of High Altitude Archeology) to learn more about the High Altitude Sanctuaries of the Andes and the Inca footprint in Salta. Later, return to Finca Valentina for a delectable lunch before your guides transfer you to the airport.
