Welcome to Mallorca
Your guides will meet you at the Palma airport for a direct transfer to your luxurious villa in a prime location above the dramatic Tramuntana coastline. Our first opportunity to explore the island is a warm-up ride on lanes lined with orange and lemon groves. Pedal down to Port de Sóller and kick off the week with a seaside lunch on the marina. After, do some exploring around the port, head down to the beach, or add some extra miles by conquering one of the climbs out of town. This afternoon, settle into the villa and sip some wine while our private chef prepares dinner, served at sunset on the villa’s terrace.
Non-riders can hike into town and meet the cyclists for lunch, shop for pearls and more in Port de Sóller, head to the beach, or adjust to vacation life at the villa.

Valldemossa Loop
Greet the day as morning arrives in Mallorca’s peaceful countryside. Today, we turn our attention to the island’s interior, riding over the exhilarating switchbacks of the Col de Sóller and quickly realizing why Mallorca is considered a cyclist’s paradise. Stop for coffee in Valldemossa and wander the streets of this pretty town beloved by its illustrious residents both past and present—including composer Frédéric Chopin, writer Georges Sand, and actor Michael Douglas. Finish the loop out along a coastal road and get a preview of the type of riding in store for the rest of the week. After lunch at a café or back at the villa, spend the afternoon at a local winery or take a cooking class with our chef and prepare a Mallorcan feast.
Non-riders can take a breathtaking hike that climbs that Tramuntana Mountains, offering views that span the entire island. Or, explore Valldemossa with a visit to Chopin’s home and some pristine botanic gardens.

The Lighthouse at Formentor
Today we will challenge ourselves on the epic Cap de Formentor lighthouse ride. Originally built to warn ships of the rocky headlands, the lighthouse is now a beacon for cyclists—with an approach road you’ll never forget. We’ll climb up to Sóller, distracted by the azure sea and its cradle in the valley below, then come soaring into Pollença at the end of an epic downhill. Pedal the legendary Formentor peninsula on a road that snakes all the way out to the lighthouse; at what seems like the end of the world, we’ll pause for a drink and snap some photos from the lighthouse terrace. Enjoy the ride back to Port de Pollença for lunch at a cyclists’ café, then transfer back to the villa to unwind.
Non-riders can head into Palma, the island’s principal city. With its markets, shopping, waterfront, and incredible Gothic cathedral, it’s a great place to spend a day.

Flex Day
Make today a rest day and relax at the villa or beach, or switch gears to another active pursuit. There are great hikes calling in the Tramuntana Mountains right behind the villa: climb one of the peaks or take an easy trek on the coastal trail along the Mediterranean. If you want to head out to sea, let us charter a boat or kayak for exploring the coastline, followed by a swim in a secluded bay. Whatever you decide, our guides are ready to work out the details of the day.

Behind the Mountains
A very different Mallorca lies behind the coastal mountain range, full of Old World villages and small farms growing almonds, olives, and figs. We’ll bike this sleepier side of the island before climbing back into the Tramuntanas on a section of road that seems to have been lifted from the front of a postcard. Regroup for a coffee at the top of the climb, then revel in the descent back to Sóller. If you’re up for the challenge, this is your chance to spin all the way to the sea, then tackle Sa Calobra—a ride that’s famously popular with the pros for its 26 hairpin turns.
Non-riders can take a foodie tour of the island—visiting organic olive oil producers and small farms—followed by lunch at a restaurant that locals keep close to the chest.

The Tramuntana Classic to Andratx
Our last day of riding is the definition of going out with a bang. On a route widely known as the Tramuntana Classic, we’ll cruise between the mountains and the rocky coast, staying engaged with endless vistas and diverse terrain. The way is marked with stone watchtowers erected to spot attacking pirates—a reminder that Mallorca has been a much-desired land throughout history. Our final descent finishes in the chic marina town of Port d’Andratx where we’ll dig into a well-deserved paella lunch at a waterfront restaurant. This afternoon, transfer back to the villa and hit the pool, or go sailing on a private yacht and indulge in an onboard massage, returning to the villa extra-relaxed. We’ll toast to a wonderful week with dinner at the villa, prepared by our own private chef.
For non-riders, it’s well worth driving today’s cycling route for the sheer beauty. Hike to some scenic lookouts and take a dip in the sea before joining the group for lunch in Port d’Andratx.
