Imagine Catherine de Medici's lavish parties thrown at Chenonceau after she forced the owner - her dead husband's mistress Diane de Poitiers-to vacate the castle. In Amboise, the amazing painter/scientist Leonardo da Vinci's last residence is just steps from the stunning castle rising above the riverbank. Your adventure will take you through lush countryside, charming medieval villages, and miles of vibrant green vineyards. Long stretches of flat cycling past chateau after chateau gives you time to enjoy some of the most picturesque landscape in Europe. Pamper yourself in royal luxury in our spectacular châteaux-hotels. Explore the Loire Valley like a resident, not a tourist: trade recipes with our chefs, toast with winemakers in their cellars, and chat with shopkeepers along the route.
