  • Day 1

    Bring on the Bubbles

Your guides will greet you at the Reims train station and deliver you to Les Crayères where the Champagne extravaganza begins. After a bike fitting and safety talk, we’ll ride to the 13th-century Cathedral of Reims, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and the coronation site for centuries of French kings. The UNESCO appeal of Reims becomes apparent as we raise a first glass in the shadow of the cathedral and enjoy lunch in the heart of this charming town. This afternoon, leave the bikes behind for a tasting at Maison Pommery, one of Reims’ most famous and historic Champagne houses. An informative visit and cellar tour of this important producer is followed by our first dinner at Domaine Les Crayères—paired with Champagne, of course. Santé!
